Welcome to RAEducation! This site is devoted to fostering education and discussion on regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine. While we offer the standard assortment of monographs, videos and descriptions of nerve block placements, we will be focusing on the practice of regional anesthesia within the context of acute pain medicine.

Why the difference? Most blocks can easily be performed by most anesthesiologists. However, the management of the patient at risk for severe acute pain presents many additional challenges for both the physician and the healthcare system! Advancing the practice of regional anesthesia as an aspect of patient-centric acute pain medicine requires more than simple videos or descriptions of techniques. Online case discussions, point-counter point, critiques of current systems, and other novel educational methods will be a central theme for RAEducation.
